Founder and CEO

Priyank has a background in counter-terrorism, communications and comedy. He previously served as a Policy Analyst and Intelligence Officer in the Office of the Secretary at the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He was also Global Consulting Director at Ogilvy and Mather in New York and Head of Consumer Marketing at Boston-based mobile advertising firm Jana. Priyank was a Contributing Writer at The Onion and also wrote for both seasons of the TV show Onion News Network on IFC. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, as well as an M.A. and B.A. in International Relations from Boston University.

Tauhid Zaman is Associate Professor of Operations Management at Yale and previously taught at MIT. He is among the world’s foremost experts in developing probabilistic models, network algorithms, and modern statistical methods to solve operational problems involving social networks. Professor Zaman earned his B.S., M.S. and PhD in Computer Science from MIT. His work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Wired, Mashable, the LA Times, and Time Magazine.

Faaiza has a background in international development and education. She has worked and consulted with organizations such as CIFF UK (The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation), Global March Against Child Labour, WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) and others, focusing on issues related to child protection and sustainable development. Faaiza also has experience in the education sector, where she worked as a college counselor and writing mentor. She graduated with an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, and received her B.A. (honours) in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College at the University of Delhi.

Asif has extensive experience in project management, working in the depths of the Southeast Asian tech space either solving transportation problems in traffic-congested cities or building facial recognition products for small and medium enterprises in ASEAN and North America. Interested in global security and military strategy, Asif worked with prime newspapers based in his home country, Bangladesh, before joining Mythos Labs. He graduated with an MSc in Strategic Studies from S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore, with a certificate in Terrorism Studies, and a concentration in intelligence studies. On weekends, Asif writes for The Diplomat, explaining Bangladeshi domestic and security policies to the world.

Motaz Elkraif is a TV reporter and media trainer with over 11 years of experience in the field of journalism and communications. He currently works as a reporter with Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and Monte Carlo Doualiya. He is also a trainer at The Deutsch Welle Akademie, an organization working towards strengthening the human right to free expression through journalism training and knowledge transfer.

Noura Eljerbi is an accomplished Libyan journalist and blogger, with an extensive background in reporting, mass communication, press monitoring and television presentation. She currently works as a television presenter for Salam Network. Her interest areas include social justice, social activism and human rights. As an educator and trainer, she has also served as an Arabic translator for Golden Bridge, and as a Teaching Assistant at the International School of Benghazi. At Mythos Labs, she contributes towards the management of projects in Libya as well as the MENA region.

Mayeeda Choudhury

Bangladesh Country Representative

Ms. Choudhury is a Dhaka-based development and gender expert with over 20 years of experience working in Bangladesh for UN Women and other NGOs. Throughout her career, she has focused on providing psychosocial support to women and children experiencing gender-based violence, including sexual abuse and acid attacks. She has conducted numerous assignments in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Cambodia, implementing strategic communication campaigns for safe migration, maternal health and child health, and has extensive experience working with other donor agencies in Bangladesh including the European Commission, DFiD, and USAID. Her expertise includes fundraising, grant management, donor reporting, and monitoring and evaluation. She has conducted several dozen capacity building workshops on human rights based programming, child rights, and reproductive and sexual health rights. Ms. Choudhury has a Master's Degree in Public Health, majoring in Maternal and Child Health.

Emmy Yuniarti Rusadi has a background in development, research, technology, socio-ecopreneurship, comedy and social media. After having served as Deputy of RCE Asia Pacific-Youth and holding several positions at the International Youth Federation (IYF), she is currently a lecturer in Indonesia and also a guest lecturer at campuses around the world. In 2011, she founded one of the largest youth-based-communities in the Asia-Pacific region, namely ASEC (Actual Smile English Club), with its work being featured by UN Habitat. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Urban and Regional Planning Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia.

Philippines Country Representative

Angeli C. Alba-Pascual is the Philippines Country Representative for Mythos Labs. She is also Habitat for Humanity International’s Senior Communications Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region. She co-leads Young Leaders Build, Habitat’s largest youth movement. She is part of the team that organizes the Asia-Pacific Housing Forum, the foremost platform that brings together innovators, leaders and stakeholders for adequate and affordable housing solutions. Angeli designs and implements Habitat’s social media strategy in the region and works with colleagues to raise mass awareness of Habitat’s policy priorities on housing, land tenure, disaster response, and sustainable cities. She is one of the UN SDG Action Campaign’s MyWorld2030 ambassadors. She has also worked with and consulted for the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation, dubbed Asia’s Noble Prize, and Grameen Foundation.

Prior to her role at Mythos Labs, she was a Psychology Summer Intern at Youth for Mental Health and Light Up (EMF).

Shivani’s interest areas include gender, society and popular culture. She recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur. She has also been a research intern at Xavier University, Bhubaneswar, where she studied the link between fake news and the vilification of Muslims in India during the COVID-19 pandemic. At Mythos Labs, she assists with research and policy analysis, and also contributes to project management, marketing and outreach. Prior to her role at Mythos Labs, she was a fellow at the Ideosync-UNESCO Information Fellowship, where she received training in Communication for Social Change (C4SC), Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) and media rights.

Rishu is currently pursuing his BTech Degree in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Being a tech enthusiast, his main areas of interest are Artificial Intelligence, Linux OS, and coding. He is also passionate about social causes, and has been involved in several social initiatives at college, such as teaching children from underprivileged backgrounds, and mentoring and tutoring students preparing for IIT-JEE examinations. At Mythos Labs, he contributes to projects involving AI and data analysis, and is also responsible for web development.
